An Interactive series of “choose your own adventure” videos that give kids ages 3-5 a chance to dance, stretch, and move while helping Niko solve all the mysteries of Maplegrove Forest . Created in collaboration with UI/UX designer Rafaela Fajardo in the spring of 2020.

Problem

During the start of the pandemic, school age children were stuck at home and indoors. With only online instruction, many students felt less engaged due to the lack of movement and physical exercise within their daily learning routine.

Idea

Create a holistic digital experience for our brand Go Go Niko! that would be educational and inviting towards students and parents.  

Goal

To encourage students to move through an engaging series of online animated videos that would meet the needs of students across the country at home and provide a bit of fun and adventure to students who don't have access to parks or outdoor spaces during lockdown.

Role

Lead designer for character illustrations and animations. Storyboard artist and content producer. Created logo and branding. 

Key Insight

Students who are physically active tend to have better grades, school attendance, cognitive performance, and classroom behaviors.

This quick introduction video to Go Go Niko will get both parents and children excited to start using our platform to grow their child's developing motor skills even if they are confined to their homes.

Character design and storyboards

It was important to create engaging and fun characters and environments for the Go Go Niko world for our introduction video. The demo video storyboard art directs the spot and defines the tone we want our brand. Copy used in the demo video was created in collaboration with Rafaela Fajardo.

Test Animations

Animations created to test concepts for the Go Go Niko brand. Completed in Adobe After Effects.

Brand digital expierence

UX designer and copywriter Rafaela Fajardo helped create the content and layout for the GoGo Niko landing page, featuring customer testimonials, the demo video, and information for parents.
